How long do you cook pork tenderloin in the Instant Pot?

So this is always the million dollar question – how long should I cook the pork tenderloin in the Instant Pot? Most people tend to overcook it. But seriously 3 minutes in the Instant Pot on high pressure is all it takes. (Let the raw pork sit on the counter for about 20 min before cooking it). Cut each tenderloin into 2 pieces first. Don’t open the Instant Pot when it’s done, allow it to set for 12 minutes and then release the pressure – there won’t be much pressure. If you double the recipe, keep the times the same. Pressure cooking doesn’t affect the time.

Don’t skip the gravy

The gravy is one of the best parts to this recipe. I love to cook homemade noodles right in the gravy. (No need to thicken it if you cook the noodles in the gravy). So it’s truly a one pot meal!

How to make Instant Pot Pork Tenderloin in Pictures:

4 pieces of pork on a cutting board

Take the pork tenderloin out of the fridge for about 20 minutes. This is important. I like to trim any fat that I can easily cut off. Cut each tenderloin into 2 pieces. Pat dry. Press “Sauté” on the Instant Pot and allow it to heat.

cornstarch and glass measuring cup

Take about 3 tablespoons of the sauce and place in a small bowl or measuring cup. Add 3 tablespoons of cornstarch. Mix well.

cornstarch slurry being poured into Instant Pot

Add the slurry mixture back into the Instant Pot. (Do not add the cornstarch directly into the instant pot or it will be lumpy.) Stir well. Press, “Sauté” and allow the gravy to heat until thickened. Stir constantly. Pour over pork slices. Serve hot.
